This position will be r esponsible for planning, organizing and supervising the purchasing of all production materials, equipment, and MRO supplies.

Nice small city located near Madison, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Establishes Purchasing Policies and ensure complianceDevelop new supply sources, examine bids and make awards, establishes account/credit and termsNegotiate purchase orders and monitor costs.
Process purchase orders and receipts.
.
Check requisitionsMonitor and report vendors performance.
Perform supplier visits and audits and follow up with reports/evaluations and action items.
Assign and follow up on corrective actions.
Use various reports such as the MRP, purchasing status, expedite and manufacturing schedule.
Disposition defective or obsolete materialDevelop a process for logistics for products and materials.
Work with vendors to negotiate and discuss contracts for materials/supplies/equipment or services.
Maintaining approved vendor listingEstablish or update purchasing policy and procedures Hiring, retaining and managing purchasing staff REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or related field is required.
Minimum 6 years' experience in production purchasing.
Prior experience with negotiations of large purchasing contractsStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Prior supervision experience; previous training and experience in team building and problem solving.
Experience with Plastics Purchasing preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
